Who We Are

A Manhattan med spa that reads your skin before it treats it.

Skin assessment at Skin Lab Clinic, a med spa in Midtown East Manhattan

Skin Lab Clinic sits inside the Bristol Medical Building on East 55th Street.

We look at hydration, barrier condition, texture, pigment and how your skin has reacted to things in the past, then choose the protocol from there. It is why two clients booking the same treatment often leave having different sessions.

We treat what your skin needs, not what sells.

Our Philosophy

Overtreated? Not here.

Aesthetic treatment should enhance what is there, not replace it. Thoughtful protocols, realistic goals, and a plan built for the face in front of us.

Your First Visit

What happens when you come in

Four stages, same order every time. Nothing is added without explaining what it does.

01
Assessment under examination light

We go through your history, products and what is bothering you, then look at the skin itself. This is where the protocol gets decided.

02
Cleanse and preparation

A thorough double cleanse so whatever follows reaches skin rather than a day's worth of city on top of it.

03
The treatment itself

Facial, injectable or PRP, applied in clinical order and adjusted as we go. You are told what is happening.

04
Protection and a plan

SPF, a written aftercare plan, and an honest interval for your next visit.

Find Us

A Manhattan med spa minutes from Lexington Avenue

We are on East 55th Street between First and Second Avenue, inside the Bristol Medical Building. That puts us a short walk from Sutton Place, Turtle Bay and the office towers along Third and Lexington, close enough to Bloomingdale's to fit a treatment around the rest of your day.

Skin around here has its own pattern. Dry radiator heat all winter, humidity through the summer, long days under office lighting in between. Most of what we see is dehydration and dullness rather than damage, which is why many plans start with barrier repair.

Common Questions

Med spa questions, answered honestly

What is the difference between a med spa and a regular day spa?

A day spa focuses on relaxation and works mostly at the surface. A medical spa uses clinical-grade products and devices delivered by licensed clinical staff, which means it can address concerns a facial alone cannot, such as lines, volume loss, scarring and pigment. The experience is still calm; the difference is in what the treatment is able to change.

How long does a facial take?

The Signature Medical Facial and Glass Skin Medical Facial run 60 minutes. The Advanced is 75 minutes and the Platinum is 90. Injectables are booked as 30-minute appointments, PRP as 30 to 60 minutes, and a consultation takes 15.

How much does a facial cost here?

$299 for the Signature Medical Facial or the Glass Skin Medical Facial, $499 for the Advanced and $899 for the Platinum. The Glass Skin Medical Facial is also available as a course of five sessions for $1,196. Those are complete prices, not starting points, and nothing is added at checkout.

How much do Botox and fillers cost?

Both are priced at consultation. Botox is charged by the unit and fillers by the syringe, so the honest figure depends on the areas being treated and how your muscles and volume actually sit. Quoting a number online before seeing your face would be guesswork. You get the price before anything is administered, never after. Botox Cosmetic is FDA-approved for specific facial lines, and we only treat within those uses.

Who performs the treatments?

Facials are carried out by our clinical aesthetic staff, and injectable and PRP treatments are performed by a registered nurse licensed through the New York State Education Department, working under medical direction. Every appointment begins with an assessment, and if a treatment is not appropriate for your skin we will tell you before it starts rather than after.

Is there any downtime?

After a facial, no. Skin may look slightly flushed for up to an hour and then settles, so most clients go straight back to work or on to dinner. Microneedling and RF treatments carry mild redness for a day or two, and injectables can bruise. We go through exactly what to expect at your assessment.

How often should I book a treatment?

Every four to six weeks suits most skin for facials. Botox typically lasts three to four months and fillers longer depending on the product and area. PRP and RF microneedling work best as a course of three rather than a single visit, which is why those are offered as packages. You are given a real interval for your skin, not a subscription.

Can I book before a wedding or an event?

Yes, and many clients do. The facials carry no downtime so they are safe close to the date, though a week ahead lets skin settle at its best. For injectables, leave two weeks so any swelling has fully resolved.

Do you treat men?

Regularly. A good number of our clients are men working in the offices nearby, most often for facials before presentations and travel, and for Botox. Every one of our facials includes the Executive Gentleman's Facial protocol. The assessment adapts the treatment to your skin, not to a gender.

Where exactly are you, and how do I book?

The Bristol Medical Building, 305 E 55th Street between First and Second Avenue, Suites 106 and 109 just off the lobby, New York, NY 10022. The E and M at Lexington Av / 53 St and the 6 at 51 St are each a short walk. We are open seven days a week from 9AM to 8PM. Book online or call (646) 554-9141.
