The full ritual, with nothing left out
The Platinum is what happens when the facial is not competing with the clock. Ninety minutes is long enough to do everything in the Advanced properly, then add two things that need their own time: HiFU, a focused ultrasound treatment that tightens at depth across the face, eye area and neck, and a microneedling pass to stimulate collagen where topical work cannot.
The La Prairie Skin Caviar line runs through the whole session. Because the skin has been resurfaced and needled, the formulations reach further than they can in a shorter facial, which is where much of the difference comes from.
It is booked for occasions, and for people who want the complete version. Weddings, shoots, a significant birthday. Or simply clients who have had the Advanced and want to know what the top of the range does.

HiFU delivers focused ultrasound energy below the surface, addressing firmness along the jaw, around the eyes and through the neck without any incision.
Controlled micro-channels trigger the skin's own repair response, which continues working for weeks after the session ends.
Ninety minutes means every stage is done properly rather than compressed. You feel the difference in the massage alone.
Skin Caviar applied after resurfacing and needling reaches layers a surface facial never touches.

Selected steps are adjusted to your skin goals and professional assessment. Nothing is added at checkout.
Skin assessed under examination light, and the areas for HiFU and microneedling mapped. Depth and energy settings are decided here, not on a template.
Double cleanse, hydrodermabrasion and the resurfacing pass, exactly as in the Advanced. This prepares the skin for the device stages.
Focused ultrasound across the face, eye area and neck, then a microneedling pass. Topical numbing is used, and both are done in sections with time to explain each one.
Skin Caviar applied to freshly treated skin, the collagen mask and LED recovery while you rest, then brightening, SPF and a written plan for the next two weeks.

Afterwards
What to expect after the Platinum
The first few days
- Redness like mild sunburn from the microneedling pass, settling over one to two days
- Mild tenderness where HiFU was applied, particularly along the jaw
- Light flaking on day two or three from the resurfacing
- Most clients are comfortable in makeup by day two
The following weeks
- Glow and smoothness are clearest from day three onward
- Tightening from HiFU develops gradually over several weeks
- Collagen from microneedling keeps building for a month or more
- Judge the full result at four to six weeks, not four days
Book the Platinum two weeks before an important date, not two days. The day-of glow is real, but the device stages need a little time to settle.
Getting Ready
How to prepare, and what to do after
Before your appointment
- Pause retinol and strong acids for five days
- No sun exposure or self-tanner for a week beforehand
- Tell us about recent treatments, medication, allergies and any metal implants in the face
- Book at least two weeks before anything important
After your facial
- Barrier cream and SPF only for 48 hours
- No saunas, steam, hot workouts or swimming for two days
- Do not pick or exfoliate any flaking
- Hold off on actives for a week, then reintroduce slowly

Is it worth $899?
For the right concern, yes. The Platinum includes HiFU tightening and microneedling, which booked separately would cost more than the difference between this and the Advanced. If your concern is firmness, or you want the most complete preparation before a major event, it earns its price. If your skin is simply tired, the Signature at $299 will do the job, and we will say so.
How long does it take?
90 minutes. The extra time over the Advanced goes to HiFU across the face, eyes and neck, the microneedling pass, and not rushing any of it.
What is HiFU?
High-intensity focused ultrasound. It delivers energy to a set depth below the surface to stimulate tightening, without any incision or needle. It is used across the jaw, cheeks, around the eyes and through the neck. Results develop gradually over several weeks as the skin responds.
Does it hurt?
Topical numbing is used before the microneedling pass. HiFU is felt as brief warmth and pressure, more noticeable along the jaw. Most clients describe the session as intense in places rather than painful, and it is done in sections with time to pause.
Is there downtime?
More than the Signature or Advanced. Expect redness like mild sunburn for one to two days, mild tenderness along the jaw, and light flaking on day two or three. Most clients are comfortable in makeup by day two. Book two weeks before anything important.
How often should I have it?
The Platinum is not a monthly treatment. Two or three sessions a year, with the Signature for maintenance in between, suits most people. Your aesthetician gives you a real interval rather than a package.
Is it safe for darker skin tones?
HiFU and microneedling do not target pigment, so they are generally well tolerated across skin tones. The resurfacing method is chosen carefully at the analysis, and diligent SPF afterwards matters more rather than less.
Can I combine it with injectables?
Not on the same day. Injectables are usually spaced two weeks from a Platinum so the skin has fully settled. Your practitioner will tell you what is safe together.
