It starts with a proper skin analysis, so every product is chosen for what your skin needs that day, and you leave glowing with no downtime.
What It Is
A facial with a clinical spine and a luxury finish
Most spa treatments follow the same routine for everyone. The Signature follows a protocol: your skin is analysed first, then products are chosen for what that analysis shows and applied through La Prairie's Skin Caviar line in the right order.
It includes our Executive Gentleman's Facial protocol, so it adapts to men's skin without a separate booking, and it finishes with Hermès touches.
It is the core facial at Skin Lab Clinic and the usual first booking. If your skin needs more resurfacing, the Advanced Medical Facial goes deeper.

How your 60 minutes run
Your aesthetician examines your skin under examination light. Congestion, dehydration, sensitivity and sun damage decide the protocol.
A double cleanse and professional exfoliation, followed by hydrodermabrasion.
Skin Caviar essence, serum and cream in the right order, with lifting massage along the jaw, cheekbones and brow.
A medical-grade collagen mask, brightening, SPF and a written plan. We only suggest a return visit if you need one.

Afterwards
How long a La Prairie facial holds
You leave with a mild flush for up to an hour, then brighter, hydrated skin for the rest of the day. Makeup is fine once the flush fades, and you can go straight back to work or dinner.

Getting Ready
Before your appointment
- Pause retinol and strong acids for about three days
- Makeup is fine; we remove it
- Tell us about recent treatments, medications and allergies
- Arrive a few minutes early to settle in
After your appointment
- Keep your routine simple for 24 hours
- Skip saunas, steam and hot workouts that day
- Use SPF every day, even in a grey Manhattan winter
- Hold off on new actives for a few days

The Signature, answered honestly
Is the Signature Medical Facial worth $299?
It depends on what you compare it to. A $120 spa facial is mostly relaxation. The Signature is a full protocol with La Prairie Skin Caviar after a real skin analysis. If a simpler facial suits you better, we would rather say so.
How long does it take?
60 minutes. Arrive a few minutes early so the full hour goes to your skin.
How is it different from the Advanced and Platinum facials?
Each level includes the one below. Advanced adds a medical peel or microdermabrasion, collagen stimulation and LED recovery. Platinum adds microneedling and the full Skin Caviar ritual.
Is it suitable for men?
Yes. The Executive Gentleman's Facial protocol is built in, and many of our Signature clients are men from the offices nearby.
Can I wear makeup afterwards or book before an event?
Yes. Any flush fades within about an hour. For a big event, booking around a week ahead gives your skin time to settle at its best.
What if my skin is too sensitive?
The analysis comes first. The protocol is adjusted for sensitive skin, and if treatment is not appropriate that day, you are told before anything starts.
Can I add Botox or fillers in the same visit?
Not in the same appointment. Many clients book Botox or fillers one to two weeks apart from a facial. Those treatments are provided by Michael Meighen, MD, NY, PLLC, whose licensed provider advises on timing.
How often should I book a medical facial?
Every four to six weeks suits most skin. You will be given a real interval at your visit, based on how your skin responds.
